Who We Are
Our Mission
In the wake of a tragic gun incident involving two Chinese members of our community, our team found a critical gap in mental health support within the UNC campus's international community. Our mission is laser-focused on providing specialized mental health support to Chinese, Pan-Asian, and other minority groups through a creative, comprehensive, and artistic solution.
We aim not to build a support group, but a comprehensive support system.
Our To-do List
Our project has 3 key components:
1. Big & Little Mentorship Program:
- targeted to solve social isolation of international student pairing psychology & career student mentors who fit you according to MBTI personality test -
2. Psyc Art Exhibit
- targeted for artistic expression of our Asian root -
3. Cultural Galas
- targeted to provide a home where we can celebrate festivals together
Our Love:
MAPS is where minority students find direction to their mental health and academic future at UNC.
